Very nice!

Thank you for that. I was told the ones on the track where lighter from someone who weighed them online.

Thanks,

Thanks xcmpx! Just what I was looking for! Looks like I'll be saving up for the Nismo wheels instead of the Volks.
You get a gold star in heaven for that!

Mmmm... I thought Nismo LM GT4 has front offset of +25mm and Rear of +30mm for the Z33???? I think those +38mm (rear) and +30mm (front) are for Silvia S14 setup though... Can someone correct me if I am wrong!

You can go check out this info at www.japanparts.com or in hyperRev magazines..

Also... can someone explain to me why can't the VDC equipped Z use those nismo wheels? Thanks in advance!!

cheers mate!

nothing wider than 8.5 and 9.5 for nismo rims? what is the max size width of tires you can put on those @ 18 inch. 245 and 275?

Offsets listed above are wrong. Front is +25mm, rear is +30mm. The difference offset could throw off the weight, since they set the wheel offset with a combination of spoke angle and hub depth. Tire size is recommended to be 245/40 and 275/40. Stick with the recommendations, it flat out works.

I will check the offset in our nismo catalog when I get into the office. I believe it is +22 front and +30 in the rear. But I will check for sure.

They recomend 245 / 275.

You can now use these wheels with "VDC" although they recomend that with the install of the S-Tune Suspension and Sway Bars. But, if you have the recomended tire size you should be fine.

If you were to put aftermarket rims on your car and use tires that are the same Diameter, then it would trip the VDC system. Using correct tire size's VDC wont notice. Same thing would happen with any wheel you put on this car.

If they havent tested it, they dont recomend it. BUt now they have tested S-Tune suspension on VDC cars and released it for them.

It really comes down to "not yet tested" or our lawyers told us to cover our asses!

They do make the giant NISMO rims you're are all discussing.

NISMO LM GT1 MAG
19" x 10" - BLACK - MAGNESIUM - 17.0 lbs!

First...
One does not purchase 19" wheels of any weight if they are performance oriented at all.

Second...
Anyone who is asking about weights is concerned about performance.

Third...
The posted offset is a wheel of the many that NISMO offers that will fit both Brembo & non-Brembo 350Z's.

Fourth...
Just because NNA decided to manufacture a multitude more of the offset that has been famously associated with the Z doesn't mean we are forced to buy THE OFFSET & ONLY THE OFFSET!

Fifth...
They are conservative with the tire size. I posted it that way because I didn't want to modify the source. Hell I can fit 245/ 275/ on my TRACK wheels. If you had camber plates the rear could see a 305/

I wasn't trying to start anything. The offsets you posted, are for wheels available for sale in Japan. In Japan you have a choice of wheel size, width, offset and style. The one's sold as sets in the US (In Silver and Bronze only), are only available in the offsets I mentioned. +25mm front and +30mm rear, and only in 8.5" and 9.5" width. They are the GT4s. I have a set, in silver, and love them
