Default Lug Question...Only 4 lugs will tighten..

Is it safe to drive like this for the next couple days? Lug will not tighten on passenger front. Believe the guys that installed my tire overtightened with air gun. The other 4 lugs have 100lbs on them.

Thx.

100 lb/ft ?!?!?!?!? I believe the correct torque spec (don't have my manual in front of me) is 80 - 85 lb/ft.

Yes, you may drive to the closest competent shop.

Well it is not safe but you should be OK. Tightening other 4 lug nuts to 100 lbs won't make it any safer. The Nissan Factory Service Manual suggest 73-93ft-lbs (foot pounds) for the OEM wheel lug torque. Get them ASAP.

Yeah..I know about 70-80lbs. Just wanted to put a little extra "love" on the the other lugs since I only have 4 that will tighten.

The probability of catastrophic failure is 1 out of 5 or 20-percent.

Doesn't for that way. 100 is not better than 80 pounds. 120 is not better than 100 pounds.

A "little extra love" will most likely cause you more problems than one missing lug.

Yes yours just fine, unless you overtorque the other lugs to the point they want to snap. Then you will have problems.

That's what the wheel shop did. I couldn't even break the lugs with my torque wrench.
Either way, I backed down the torque on the lugs to @ 85lbs.
