Default staggered vs non-staggered

As the title says. I ordered Lmgt4 and they are 18" 9.5 +30 all they way around. I wanted to know if there any benefits/negatives of running the same tire/wheel size on all 4 corners. Thanks

From the research i did i found this:
"2 factors, which you can lable as advantage or disadvantage.

1) wider tires in back help to improve grip during acceleration

2) narrower tires in front keep the car in a "driver friendly" under-steer situation."

Personally i would run 275/35 front and 275/40 rear. It gets rid of most of the understeer, the car will still understeer and be safe for most.

Crummy tires are crummy tires regardless of width.

Generally a street set-up will understeer.

I run 18x9.5 +22 all around. Your offset is a little conservative, so you may want to run a ten millimeter spacer on the front and rear. Normally, I use 245/40 up front and either 245/45 or 255/40 on the rear. It gives the tires a nice little stretch, plus it handles amazing!

so does it really not matter if you run the same width all the way around the car? I thought I read on the forum somewhere that not being staggered could cause the slip control to activate prematurely if you did that.

VDC is sensitive to tire height. See: https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-tire...read-here.html

Benefit from running the same tire size = rotate for longer tread life.

Tubbs,

I couldn't agree more. I believe the confusion happens because some people think of staggered as only width, others consider staggered as height, and then there's the height and width group.

Same goes for "all square" (where some think of this as the same width, but different heights; while others think of it as the same width and height).

It's probably not worthy of a "sticky," but it sure would be swell to get these terms straight on the Forum.

You make a good point.
