Burning Tires off HELP
I've been trying to kill my tires cuz i hate them. I paid like 12 hundred for them but i still hate them. Every time i go to brakestand my car just cuts off... i'm dropping the car at 4k with vdc off and i get the tires going but as soon as i touch the brake (i'm doing like 6k at this point) my rpms just go away. Yes i've seen threads on this i just figure i'm either hitting the brake to late and i should just jump the brake or it's something else. Any thoughts?
You have to pull the fuse for the brake lights. When the ecu sees brake lights and the gas pedal at the same time it kills power. Gay i know, but when you pull the brake light fuse you can do sweet burn outs. Hell if you burn outs are your thing then wire up a toggle switch to the brake light fuse..
ok i was just doubble checking cuz all the threads the people had auto and i know how to brakestand an auto but never done it with stick. Sorry for my ignorance and thanks for the help... i'll post the vid up when i burn them off
ps
that toggle thing is a great idea

Why not just sell them and get new ones? Why waste good tires? What brand and size are they anyway?

lol... **** you... 100% all me
umm... i'm buying a 240 for a dd cuz blizzaks don't do anything in the snow unless you keep the car under 3k rpms. Also i just don't like driving the car 24/7 or on long trips and i have a pair of snow tires i can plop on a 240 from my old car.

That's a lot of money to waste away... I don't understand why you can't just take them off and put some other tires on? When I want to waste tires I just go get some crappy $50 used ones mounted...
And why are you going above 3000 RPM in the snow?

There's nothing wrong with going out and burning off some rubber for fun in a controlled environment... but I say do it with some cheapies.
But as for a standing burn-out, like the guys said you need to take the brake light fuse out. I personally had to turn off the engine and restart it in order to get it to work. You have to give it several seconds for the engine to start overpowering the brakes.
Good luck and be careful, everyone is picking up on this persona you are putting off of an immature young kid who just wants to f*ck around, and with a relatively powerful rear drive sports car that often ends in wreckage, cursing, and tears.
