Default 18x9.5 with 265/35/18 All Around...?

Can I get a thumbs up thumbs down from someone on this?

Maybe some pros and cons to such a setup...

...Toyo R1r's...

They are to small and look goofy.

I don't want to downgrade performance with 19's. 18 isnt that small or goofy...

I was thinking toyo r1r's but i havent found any solid reviews so i thought about something a bit more renowned like Falken Azenis RT-615 and then I could go staggered with 265's up front and 275s in the back.

but if i don't go staggered and keep either 265's or 275's all around i could rotate them.

How about some input?

I'm leading toward the Falken Azenis RT-615 because I've found plenty of people with great experiences using them...

Aside, 19's degrade ride quality and I burn through tires. being able to rotate and buying 18's would save me a solid penny

I would like to dodge staggered. So you think i should go 265's or 275's all around?

Falken Azenis RT-615 265's have a reinforced sidewall and actually cost more than the 275's by about $10 a tire.

275's DO NOT have a reinforced sidewall. So this plays into the decision as well....

Its over an inch to short for a rear tire. Now if its just for track use , i would do 275's.

I ran 275's all around with no problems. You'll be fine.

Think I'll benefit more from a bigger contact patch with the 275's

or

the reinforced sidewall of the 265's?

You guys have been really helpful so far, thanks a lot!

265's with reinforced sidewalls FTW! but maybe move up to a 40 instead of a 35?

They don't come in 40... But I wouldn't anyway. I appreciate the input everyone. Unless I hear some solid arguments to sway me otherwise, I'll be sticking with 265/35/18's in all 4 corners. And I am going with Falken Azenis RT-615's. Fingers crossed.

you should really read up on the affects of not getting the proper diameter tires before you pull the trigger... at least know what you're getting yourself into

what he meant was you're getting 35 series tires for 18" rims. That's smaller than stock actually. It'll mess with your vdc and whatnot. 35 series on 19", 40 on 18...
265/35 fronts would be fine, but in the rear you need at least 285 to run 35 series. Correct me if i'm wrong. I'm running 265/295 in 30 series on my car and it's close enough to stock sidewall height height.

I've run 275/35/18 RT-615s on all corners with no VDC issues. the car handling became very neutral to slight oversteer (but my suspension is not stock) plus you can do a 4 tire rotation. the down sides are heavier steering, trammeling and, of course, more rpms per mph.

yeah i was hoping to offset the sluggish steering from 275's up front with 265's up front and thus all around so i can rotate... they don't make a 40 and based on reviews i'm sticking with the falken 615's. so it's going to be 35's all around regardless. but thanks for the input and help everyone. always appreciated
