Default lug nut help

I need some new lugs.....i have the crappy spline lugs every company gives oyu for free and the suck.....heck it even got thread once.......so I am thinking of buying the lugs below, but have 2 questions.....

1.should I go with 35 or 45

2.do you think it is wise to buy these seeing as anyone with a socket wrench can take them off no locks

I would personally go with something that is either a lock design or a spline design with special socket required to remove them. I just put on a set of Muteki closed-end lugs which are a splined design but the socket adapter fits very nicely onto the nut so I don't foresee any problems with stripping or anything. The finish also seems durable enough to prevent rusting. Although the ones you posted look cool, I wouldn't personally use them, unless you buy a set of 4 locks and use one on each wheel.

Its my personal opinion you spend a few bucks on kics r40s.
The quality of this kit RIVALS EVERYTHING. I have owned
works, volks, and others. Frankly they should all stop manufacturing
lugs. The kics product looks perfect and has the best lug and
lock chucks I have ever seen.

Mcgard Spline Drive lugs are very high quality and are under $100 for a set of 20 splines with install key. Mcgard makes a lot of OEM lugs and they also make lugs for BBS, STi, etc.. I run these on my personal car and a lot of our shop cars, never had one issue with them and they look brand new everytime I take them on and off

thanks subydude, but what is preventing someone from stealing the lugs....cant anyone with a spline drive key remove them.....just like the originals I posted....would be just as easy to steel the wheel.

Mcgard also offers a 4pc locking kit You would get 16pcs of the spline lugs + the 4pc locking kit. The 4pc locking kit uses a key specific to these four lugs and is not a generic key like the regular spline key. This setup is a little over $100 but still very affordable considering the quality you get with these lugs

The 4pc locking set
