Default Best track rim (road course)?

I've searched, thus I am now posting.

Let me know your opinion on which will be the best track rim for me to get?

Thanks

There really isn't a single "best" wheel for any task. You're asking for the best track wheel, and if you went to 10 reputable/knowledgeable tuning shops, you very well might get 10 different answers.

Compare your choice in wheels by weight/strength/cost. There are a lot of options out there that have similar weight and strength, in different styles with different costs.

Start with an 18" wheel. N/A I would stick with 9"F and 10" R.

I think the ADVAN Racing line of wheels are exceptional. So many proffesional race teams use them. They are light weight. I think most are 18 lbs or under. They are a little pricey. Enkei makes soem great cheap wheels like the RP03. They are about $300 ea.

ADVAN RS

ADVAN RG II

ADVAN RZ

Having searched, I would have figured you would have found a more appropriate forum to post this question in...

Every one will have their own opinion and that seems to be all your looking for, which is good. I believe the Enkei RPF1 will work for any budget, they have a countless amount of track miles and are used by competitive teams all over the world.

I'd also recommend the rays wheels like the TS-06 but I'm biased

Also depends on if you like staggered or square setups. It's all personal preference, but I would say 17's or 18's, 8.5 to 10 inches wide, and everything else depends on your budget. Tires are more important than wheels anyway. A 225 width Hoosier will grip better than a 275 regular performance tire.

I'm in the market for some 18" track wheels and I love the look of these. However, I can't tell in those pics what the difference is between the RS and the RZ. Aside from the obvious color difference in those pics, the wheel design looks the same to me.

Do you know what the difference is between these JET? Or can anyone else explain the difference?

Agree. All wheels pass similar standards so I don’t know why one wheel would be and better than another. In fact street wheels (DOT) often pass more stringent standards than competition only (non DOT) wheels.

What you might look for is a design that allows lots of room for easy lug nut removal and installation.

The RS wheels has the spokes spaced evenly and the RZ has the spokes grouped into 5 groups of 2. See it? It's very subtle.

Ah, I see it now! I see it! Yeah, that is a very subtle difference. It might be more noticable if I saw a straight on shot of the RZ in comparison.

Thanks JET

Enkie NT03's would be my suggestion. 9.5 front and 10.5 rear, and they come in the proper offsets unlike RPF1's.
