Default Offset and deepdish

Help me understand,
According to DTD diagrams, offset only affect that "deep dish" look but not how far it is away from the fender wall.

But width of wheel will fill-out fender wall better without affecting the "deep dish" look.

Right?

thanx

I'm not sure if this helps, but picture this: On the performance models with 18s, the offset is +31 and the rim is 8" wide, which means there's ample room to go wider. In order to fill out the rear wheel well and create a deep dish look, I opted for a 10.5" wide rear rim (19s too ). If the offset was identical, the wheel would remain at its current distance from the outer edge, but would be grossly close to the inner fender due to the drastic change of wheel width (not sure how close, but Volk recommended the +22 offset). I chose a +22, which protrudes the wheel out a bit and creates a deep dish, but allows the wheel to be safely tucked. Its all a give/take decision. Now, if we had more options on tire sizes, it would be an easier decision . . .

I want to go 18x9 and 18x10 GL57F Pros on my G35C, which I am pretty sure the offset I need is the same as on Z

I know ppl use +22 front and rear, does this require rolling of the fenders? would +24 fr and rr be better? or will it rub inside?

offset has to do with orientation of the rim vs the center.

width is the width of the rim.

its all intertwined.

Rim depth has to do with wheel width, offset and pad height. The wider the wheel, the lower the offset and lower the pad = bigger lip. You can have combinations of them without another as well.
