Default 305/35/18 PROXES R888 On A 18X10 +35

I forgot which thread it was but a few people had asked me to post a pic of my 305/35/18 R888 on a 10" +35 wheel. This is with -2.0 camber. I couldn't find the thread so I'm posting it here. There is about 5mm space between the tire and the rolled fender. The fener is rolled completely flat. There is about 10mm clearance between the tire and the body of my coilover on the inside. There is no rubbing at all through the whole range of suspension motion and the car is pretty low. The gap looks bigger, but the widest part of the tire is about 1.5" fro mthe top. The smallest as the suspension travels is about 5mm.

The tire has a bulged look becasue it is not conscructed liek a street tire. It does not have a rim protector sidewall which would cause the sidewall to be more vertical. But I don't think it bulges too much. It looks like a track wheel/tire setup.

You lucky bastid. Wish I lived in a climate where I could roll some barely DOT-legal tires around on the street.

That buldge isn't too bad at all. I absolutely love the lack of fender gap.

Hey Jet, can you upload the pictures? My work site is blocking the link to Photobucket. All I see are red Xs!

Can we see the front up close?

I'm surprised you say the front rubs. I have a 18x9 +30 with a 275 and only -.8 camber vs. your 18x9 +22 with a 275 and -3 camber. Must be a difference in tires. I'm running Kumho Ecsta XS for now.

Yeah.. These Proxes R888 tires have a really round shoulder and are very wide for a 275. My ADVAN Sport tires I used to have fit with no rubbing with -1.5 camber.

Nice! Are those the Advan RS in dark gunmetal? I love those wheels and I'm considering those for my track setup. Don't wanna F up my 19" iForged wheels at the track.

Thanks Gentlemen. I switched to the 18" rear to run the 305/35/18 tire. The one blue lug nut is because I didn't want to deal with the wheel lock. I had an old set of the blue Ray's sitting around and used a regular blue lug nut instead of the black locking nut. Everyone always asks me that question.

Yes thse are ADVAN RS in dark gun metalic.

I'll try and get a pic of the full rear view tomorrow.

Hey Jet
Looking good as always.

Can you please comment on this set-up for the R888's:

Volk GTS 19x9.5f +17 19x10.5r +18
Toyo R888 R-Compounds 235/35/19f 295/30/19r

My main question is how will the handling be with only a 235 up front?
Any concern about traction control and are the offsets right?

As you know there are not alot of options for the R888's in 19"

Thanks in advance for the help.

Like I said the reason they look oversized is beacuse their is no rim protection strip which would fill out the sidewall. Toyo specs for the 305/35/18 is 10"-12". My whels are 10".

My tire/wheel combo isn't a fashion ensemble and I don't do things because they look good or bad. This a car that only sees the track. I don't care how they look. I turned a 2:22 at Sebring, and the car has alot more in it. I suck as a driver. This car is likely capable of a 2:05.
