did you stay with a 17" aftermarket wheel
Those of you who purchased the touring model with an Automatic Transmission found out quickly that the car did not come standard with 18 " wheels. My question is this. Have any of you gone with aftermarket wheels (rims) and stayed with 17 " - Please post pictures if you have. I am thinking about doing this, as I want to keep the best ride possible. I think you achieve this by a taller tire. This car is my daily driver and was not bought to race. I bought it because I like the way it excels, turns and stops.
Plus, I look damn good sitting in it.

might have good news for you, smaller rims are good for racing as well.
watch some racing, try and find a race car with low profile tires.
only "downside" to smaller rims is appearance, if that matters to you.

Stay with 17s for weight, 18s maybe, but anything over that are for looks. I have the ATS Apollo in 17x8.5 +35 and they are very nice. The pick below is the 2pc version since the 1pc is no longer available. I might be selling them when I get my race wheels, but I like them.

i'd suggest you go with a larger rim since you are not racing it. the larger rim will look better and i don't think the ride will change that much. i also had 17s and i went with 19" aftermarket rims. i don't race it on the track, just an occasional race on the freeway. the 19s look way better than the 17s and i don't notice a difference in the ride except that it handles better now that i changed the tires.
