Most porsche wheel tire setups are 19 or 20. 20s are very common and not seen as a non-performance mod like it is on a 350z.
In reality unless you seriously track your car, (you are not running 19's either) running 20's on the street is no more or less dumb than 19's. Neither are really suited for racing. So saying 20s are ghey when you have 19s on your car is pretty stupid. 19's are not performance wheels no matter how light they are. A smaller diameter wheel like a 17" will be better in a racing application with some Victor Racers or other race designed tires. 19's are not performance wheels either so if you run 19's might as well get 20's if you want. On the street the difference will be so small it will never matter. Plus how often are you "racing" on the street where the weight really matters anyway?
With all that said, I bought 19's cause the tires are cheaper than 20's and I didn't really want anything larger from a visual standpoint than 19's. They seem to be just the right size for a 350z. 20's are well suited on a 911/Cayman as they come with 19's stock in some cases.

well when i saw GTR in person, i thought the stock 19s were pretty big. Anyone know how wide they are?
BTW this reminds me when i was at dealership i wanted to get a feel for the nismo Z and see whats the handling like since people said they were only differnt with handling and so i asked a saleperson. He said oh the only difference is the wheels and the body work. Sacastically i responded oh really so the suspenision, exhaust is all the same and he just said "yes just wait another month you dont want that car, you want the 370, thats the one i wanna sell to you. Seriously the guy was an idiot he doesnt even know what he is selling
