Default suggestions on paint color for my stock 18's

I have an '07 Solar Orange & want to paint my stock rims. I've been scouring the threads lately seeing some pretty amazing color combo's of other members. I think Black has been way over done & I like to stand out from the crowd. Gunmetal is a little to common as well.

Maybe a darker Bronze or color matching the rims with a silver lip or possibly just painting the spokes with the rest silver. Call me crazy but I really like the look of the stock 18's. Thanks dudes!

If you want to stand out, you certainly bought the right color car.

Bronze would go nice with your car. Not sure about color matching, especially with Solar orange lol. But bronze would look real nice.

Silver wheels look good with solar orange. You don’t really have a lot of option here. Majority of the people like gold, bronze. mag blue and black wheels. You best bet is to go with gross black or gun metal.

paint the flat portions of the spokes gloss black and leave the rest of the rim the factory silver to off set the silver emblems, and door handles as well as take your nissan hamburger insignias and paint them the same black as the wheels

The wheels should match your beautiful eyes.

Theres not really a lip on the OEM 18s, more like a little flat spot about 1cm wide. The OEM coating on the wheels is very thick; thick enough to cover all the imperfections in the casting. If you just plan to scuff up the clear coat and just paint over that, it won't be an issue. I took mine down to the bare metal to try and keep the layers minimal and there are a lot of casting flaws.

I think the best color scheme for these wheels would be something that accents the natural effect the rims have, which is to have the flat spokes stand out. In this respect, a little will go a long way. The wheels naturally have a tendency for the spokes to look "brighter" than the rest of the wheel, so even with the same paint all around, it will look that way. Just do something subtle to make it stand out a bit more.

Yes ur right, no lip, I stand corrected. I may take it to a powder coater & have it done professionally then. Just want it to compliment the car without looking ricer.

Found what I was looking for. Instead of Black maybe Graphite on the spokes that matches the grill Color which should really offset with the Solar Orange. Love that two tone look.
