TOYO specs for a 305/35/18 are 10"-12" rim. The tires look different than road tires. They have no rim bead protector, and they have a very round shoulder. It's not a street tire. So no they aren't "pinched"

I'm running R888s on my Exige (as well as many Lotus owners), and I've noticed that while Toyo's minimum recommended wheel widths will fit, it's better to go with the wider width wheels to get the maximum traction out of the tires. The less sidewall flex you get, the better.

I'll keep that in mind how much faster my lap times would be with an 11" wheel rather than a 10" wheel next time I'm lapping Sebring at 2:15.

Would love to see a video of that lap. And you'd probably shave a good .5~.7 sec off the lap with wider wheels (provided that you can fit them).

I should have video on Sunday. I got an HD video camera for christmas and an in car camera mount. If I can figure out how to set up the camera I should have some good HD video.

The car is probably capable of a 2:05 . I don't have the abaility yet to drive it that fast so I'm not in any way interested in spending another $4000 on a set of custom wider wheels becasue no one makes the offfsets I would be looking for (11X 35). I don't race. I do it for fun. So my times at this point aren't important, but more an indicator of what I did as a driver that works and what doesn't work.
