Monday the 29th of December(which was yesterday)I got my new tires put on at a local Goodyear store. When i picked up my car I noticed that there was something on them, I thought that they had brake dust on them and the guy that put the tires on hands were wet so really did not think anything about it. This morning I got up going to shine the Z up. Started washing the wheels and noticed that crap was not coming off. Called the Goodyear store, they told me to bring it back up there and let them look at it. When I got up there the manager came out and started asking me if curbed them, went through a construction site, acted like I did something to them. They told me it must have been the cleaner that I was using, because all they use is soap & water. So one of the guys started to rub something on them to see if he could get it off.....THE BAST3RD TOTALLY SCREWED MY WHEELS UP!!!!http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/h...20UP%20WHEELS/
Lol would you curb your wheels and stain them past the outer lip... silly manager. Anyways hope you get it sorted out, maybe some more knowledgeable peeps can chime in with some possible solutions.
Did they offer to compensate you at all? Sounds like they tried using some abrasive cleaner to try to get it out?

More damage than you think. The black spot is where one guy used a rubbing compound and took the paint off the wheels. The other stuff is bake on. I scrubed like hell to get it off, but no luck. They are factory GT wheels. 18x9 and 19x10. 245/40 and 275/35.
well I suppose those wheel doctor guys can fix it, I've seen them fix far worse stuff like actual pieces of the rim gone, but problem is the finish will never be exactly like it originally was.

But you are putting the proper tires on the proper wheels. That's just a lazy and unprofessional install.
I wish you would have fought it while you were still there, now you've given them a reason to believe it got damaged on the way back and it isn't their fault etc.
rarely does a company want to fess up and eat a loss. I would keep fighting them to get it repaired.

+1 You can't let the shop dick you around. They knew it was their fault, but they didn't want to take the loss on the repair. Tell them that they will hear from your lawyer. Most likely they will offer you some kind of compensation. Good luck.

Thanks guys. To the 1st question... Ringgold is about 2hrs North of Atlanta. Right on the GA/TN state line. Just south of Chattanooga TN. Well I have good news. I ended up calling corporate. They had me to go to another Goodyear store and get a second opinion. The manager came out and about s--t on hisself. He asked me if his store done it, I said nope. So he called corporate back and told him that they are jacked up. The lady called my cell and told me to get a price on how much to get them fixed. She said that they would send me a check. Now... here is something on my mind. I thought about getting the Gunmetal color. What ya'll think?
