Default Question for ALL RED LUG NUT OWNERS

I have looked at various brands and myself have the red rays lug nuts. From what it looks like, almost every red lug nut is anodized. This makes the lugs look pink in certain lightning but red at other times. Most of the time it's pink from up close but red from far away and red in pictures. Is this also happening to you guys or am i going crazy? Have any of you guys found lug nuts that perfectly match the color of the time attacks no matter the distance away from the car? I appreciate any imput or suggestions. Thx

just wait till you have them for a year...then they are really pink

not to mention they are aluminum. Aluminum threads on steel studs = at some point, you'll be replacing the studs.

Different expansion rate properties on the metal = never a good thing. Sort of like engines with iron blocks and aluminum heads with crappy head gasket designs...somethings gotta give over time.

aluminum is very soft....steel is not

I had aluminum lugs on my car at one point. I ended up tossing them in the trash (literally) after having to replace the 5th stud on my car (not the most fun job to do). Having to frequently remove/reinstall them for track use, etc, I just got too annoying. So now I stick strictly to lugs with steel threads, and have zero issues, no matter how many times they go off and on. And, no color bleaching either (which happens with all anodized aluminum lugs...my black ones eventually became sort of grey)

McGard does a nice lug that has red caps on the ends...they work really well. The lug shank itself is chrome but the outer cap, which is what you would see when you look at the car, is red. All steel threads, and they work very nicely. I'm sure we've got em, I'll pm you Monday
