Default Could my tires be damaged?

I was involved in an accident and in the process the car jumped 4 different curbs going between 30-40 miles per hour. I have spoken to several people who have said that even if the tires do not show damages they still could be on the inner layers. Basically I need some sort of article or proof to give the insurance company stating this fact so that I can get these replaced. I am super nervous to drive on these at 80 miles per after knowing what the have been through in the accident. Someone please help!!!

I wouldn't think tires would be the big concern.

Oh ok , i guess there is a lot more damage that is boing fixed. Look at the tires, if they have no marks, bubbles etc etc they will be good.

Not sure how you are going to get money for damaged tires unless they are damaged. Sorry.

pump the tires up to 40 psi or higher and check for bubbles. don't forget to look at the inside sidewalls.

If you hit multiple curbs at that speed, then yes it is a good possiblity that the tires received damage. The belts could be busted and the sidewalls could very likely be damaged. Take them to a reputable tire shop and have them unmount and inspect them carefully. To be very vague, you could have a range of nothing damaged to being completely toast. Unmounted inspection is the only way to know.

I understand... Basically what I am wondering is if there is no visible damage would you be 100% confident that they are fine. It is a brand new set of tires and they cost me about 1200 a month ago...

Without visible signs of damage, this will be an up hill battle. If it bothers you that much, you may need to replace them yourself.

if they aren't leaking air and you have no bubbles from the impact, their fine. Inner damaged layer these nuts, that is a sale pitch. Unless you ran on it flat the inner wall containing wires is fine. Take care.

Just go to your nearest tire repair shop & have 'em tested in the water drum/tank, etc.
