Question Stock 17's to Nismo 18's Question

I'm thinking of taking the plunge and replace my stock 17" wheels and tires for 18" Nismo wheels and, as yet, undecided tires.

The Nismo wheels are 18x8.5 with +25 offset, and 18x9.5 +30 offset (F/R). I've read in another thread that the proper tire size would be 245/40 front, and 275/40 rear to keep the rolling diameter same as stock. Would this combination work for replacing the 17's? I would think the rolling diameter would be the same for 17 as 18, just less sidewall. How about the offset figures of the Nismo--correct for those size tires?

How many have replaced 17's for eighteens and how's the ride?

Thanks in advance,

ok, here goes.

front tires 225/50/17 to 245/40/18 = same size

rear tires 235/50/17 to 275/40/18 = new tire has .4" larger diameter. Instead, a 265/40/18 would be an exact match, if anyone makes that size.

As for ride difference, before I sold my Track Ray's, I had them on my wife's G35c. The ride was a tiny bit more firm, but not too noticeable. Also, the stock G35c Auto tires are Goodyear RS-As as opposed to the RE-040's that were on the Rays, so that could account for as much of the ride difference as tire size.
