I was wondering if anyone know's which is stronger. The forged or semi-forged.

I heard tha BBS & SSR are the only company in the world that has the Semi-fForging technology which make the wheels STRONGER than FORGING but,

I also heard Forging is stronger.

Does anyone know the answer?

Please be specific if possible.

Forged and semi-forged are essentially the same, and are jsut as strong. Forging is the process of forcing a solid billet of aluminum between the forging dies under an extreme amount of pressure...semi-solid forging is a process where hte aluminum is heated to a liquid state, and then forced into the mold at a very high rate. The semi solid forging process has pretty much the same properties of forged rim, but doesnt hvae the hihg production cost associated with it, making the rims a little cheaper

In my experience as a metal sculptor and my father as a machinest, the forging is a little stronger than semi forged. Real forged material has the "grain" of the metal parallel or running the same direction due to the amount of force used in production. Think of a blacksmith pounding the hot metal into the shape of a sword. This is forging. the pounding beats the metal so that on a molecular level the "grain" runs the same direction, this also gives the metal a tempered quality. Semi forging is cheaper form a manufacuring point of view becuasit requires less material and takes less time, but the end result is very similar. You'd probably never know or feel the difference.

Vivid is correct. Forging is stronger, semi-forging, melt forging, heat forging, or whatever you want to call it, is stronger than casting, but not as strong as forging or cold forging or spin forging. the fact that a piece of billit is being forced through a play-dough factory (extruding) makes this process very difficult and the equipment need to be very strong and replaced very rapidly do to the excessive wear.

teh grain denisity and direction is what the benefit of real forging offers and it cost more to produce.
