Default all aftermarket wheels need new/different lug nuts?

Did you guys that swapped out your stock wheels, get aftermarket "tuner" style lugs? Does it all depend on the wheel? (lug nut seating, etc...)

I know there are several styles... how do we know which to use?

I had to get new lug nuts for my Borbet wheels. They were originally on my Dodge Stealth and the original lug nuts were 12mm X 150. The 350Z requires 12 mm x 125. The stock lug nuts would not work with the Borbets. If you buy wheels the lug nuts are normally purchased with the wheels. A picture of my 350Z with the wheels from my Stealth is attached.
