Common size for wheels that are 8.5” front and 9.5” rear wide:
  • On 18” wheels: 245/40-18” front and 275/40-18” rear
  • On 19” wheels: 245/35-19” front and 275/35-19” rear
I would mount the tires first and see if you like the offset. If they are not as flush to the fenders as you would like, you’ll need spacers. This is a cosmetic issue and does not involve handling.

Those offsets seem a little too conservative. But i agree with Spike100 on the tire sizes.

Depends on what kind of look you like. Your offsets are definitely not "aggressive". If you want the wheels "flush" you'll need good size spacers front and rear and go with somewhat smallish tires, probably smaller than what Spike listed. If you want a meaty tire don't bother with spacers and get like 245/275. Honestly you'd probably be better off with a 9.5/10.5 setup though.

I understand that you're in Iraq and probably just trying to figure some stuff out while you're away but sometimes the best solution is just physically mounting the wheels on the car and figuring out how large MM of spacers you want/need or how large of tires you can fit inside the wheel wells. This particular wheel width and offset just isn't a favorable way to start off with. If they were those offsets and 9.5/10.5 at least you could run some large meaty tires on it with like a 255/295 setup.

the 17/18 offsets or anything ~20 is the most popular

I run almost the exact same offsets with my 17" SSR's. (8.5 31mm and 9.5 35mm)

Her is what they look like with -2 deg camber in the rear and -1.4 camber in the front. Oh, and as for tires, I am running 255/40 17 front and 275/40 17 rear.

With 245/40-18” front and 275/40-18” rear, a 22 offset will look good (i.e., flush), and you don’t need to worry about any rubbing.

go 30mm spacers all around. 8.5+22 is nowhere near flush with a 245

Are you referring to the front (you mention 245)?

Isn't that the same as the NISMO wheels? Been done a hundred times.

Yes

Adding major understeer FTL, the proper size front would be a nice meaty 275, and it will fit no prob.

More like thousands of times (literally). So I guess we can assume it works. The point others make here on this thread is that the stock offset (30-35) is "tucked" and some prefer a more flush look (22 or less offset).

Yes. 8.5+22 on the front is far from flush with a 245 on there.

I like the tucked look and the flush as well. I have the rims on the way. If i do not like them tucked i will be purchasing spacers then. Where and who has the best spacers available. Thanks for all the input. I was out of the 350z realm with my 69 camaro. Now I am back.
