i have a big problem need ur help
guys i went to the dealership today to get my oil change and the low pressure on the tires icon had been on for a while. the guy checked and told me that there was a nail on the sidewall on the back of my bridgestone potenzas and that it couldn't be patch. he also told me that the back tires are worn out, they are at like 3 1/2 or something like that but the front ones are fine. how could this be if my 08 z only has 17k miles on it and i DO NOT drive it crazy...i promise. he also told me to get 265/40/18 in the rear instead of the stock 245/45/18 because it would give it more of an aggressive look without having to buy new wheels. My questions to you guys are: Is it better for me to get that size tires?, Which brand should I buy...Pirelli, Goodyear,? I cannot afford all four of them, therefore im buying just the back two...is it going to look really funky? The pirellis are like $370 a piece...PLease guys some advice and no smart *** comments...i know i sound like a noob and i am but... i need your help,
thanks

Well just buy 245 since those are cheaper. You can get tires for around 250 a pair online, just google search prices if its that imperative. Just bring the tires to a tire store for mounting. I bought kuhmo spt for mine for a little under 300.
Also, I suggest getting a tire depth gauge at autozone. They're like 3 dollars. You can check your own tire thread depth yourself in the future in order to help you know how close you are to changing your tires, and can plan to save for it.
If you are like me, you can do alot of the maintenance on your Z which would otherwise cost you an arm and a leg paying someone else to do it. THings like inflating your tires and checking tire pressure go a long way to maintaining your car's and your car tires health rather than driving for hundreds of mines with little tire pressure.

You need nitrogen ??? You race your car at a really competitive level right ?
Just throw some stock sized Invo's, 452's or something on it for now. Then replace them all next time.
