WP.... I would consider a tire with an emphasis on wet weather performance and/or progressive/predictable behavior at the edge of adhesion, as opposed to max dry grip. This comes from experience driving cars at odd angles in wet weather and exploring sudden unusual lines through corners

You might want to look for a tire shoot out that includes the Goodyear Eagle F1 series (perhaps for its wet weather grip). It is also interesting that at least one racing series uses the BF Goodrich G-Force series (perhaps for its predictable/progressive behavior).

I like the Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs. I only 1 have track day on them so far and they felt pretty good. Sticky tires. TireRack gave them a really good review for both dry and wet. Go here for picks on my Z with OEM wheels.

Default Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position

Do a comparison at tirerack.com and you'll be hard pressed to find a better Ultra Performance All Season tire. I've been driving on mine for two years now and couldn't be happier.

The Bridgestone RE-11's will be available soon if not already. They're supposed to be an improvement over the RE 01's wihich got rave reviews.

I'll be looking into these myself. Other than that, I'm torn between the Michelin Pilot Sport's and the BFG G Force KDW's.

If you dont want to spend too much money, I would also look at Falken 452 and Nitto 555, remember these are not all season but handle well. I just picked up a set of 452 from discounttire and read a lot of reviews before picking them up.

If money is not too right, my 2 cents from over a decade of experience with tires, I have noticed one never goes wrong with Michelin, the Pilot Sports are great tires.

triangle shaped are the new deal for 2009

seriously though, this is like asking "what should I have for lunch today?"

set a budget, search the many, many, many threads posted here by other Z owners who live in climates similar to yours, shop around for the best pricing, and you'll find the right tire for you.

Depending on your budget and what your uses are with it. Budget I'd say General Exclaim UHP, Kumho Ecsta SPT. For something a little more expensive Goodyear Eagles, Toyo T1R, BFG Goodrich KDW2 (If u don't really care about road noise), Michelin Pilot Sports 2 are some of the popular choices. Or look at TireRack's tire survey and check out the top tires and pick from there.

You can get Kumho Ecsta SPT for cheap, get the local store to price match tirerack. Just got mines and I like them soo far.

I just replaced my worn down stocks with Sumitomo HTRZ III's, so far so good. I can hear myself think now when driving, considering there's less road noise now compared to those awful Bridgestones. Traction it pretty good. Nitto 555's were my next choice, but the Sumi's won with price (had to replace all 4, with alignment).
