Yeah, I know.

I guess the worst that could happen is the tires are too big and I have to re-sell them, or I have to give in and roll the fenders.

If you want to be flush you will need to roll.

Like mentioned above tire brand does matter. Different tires of the same size fit different. I have NT03's on my car, 10.5 rear +30 and when i got them i can 275/40-18 Nitto Invo's. Invo's run wide, i started to rub with just a 5mm spacer installed, rolled my fenders and installed a 10mm spacer, if i wanted i could have got a 15mm spacer bringing the wheels to +15, but it would have been close. Not i have 452's in the rear and installed my 20mm spacer for a +10 and have no problems. All done with -2 rear camber and a 20mm drop.

Moral if the story, different tires of the same size have different widths.

My fronts are 9.5 +17 with 255/40 invo's and i have a slight rub with -1.5 camber, soon i'll go up to -1.7 to get rid of the rub then do 275/35 and play with my spacers for the perfect fit.

Hope my experimentation gives you some insite. I've played a lot with fitment between my car and others here in Vegas.

Yeah, I don't think I will be happy with the wheels in the long run if they don't give the car the look I'm going for. I am actually leaning toward the Invos for a tire choice. Let's hope if I do end up going with them that I can run the 10.5" wide wheel with +15 offset and 275/40 without rubbing, and if it does rub, let it be light enough that it can be fixed with a mild negative camber setting. Given what I have just said, I guess I have no choice but to give in and get the rears rolled.

I made a note to go with 255/35s for the front 9.5" +15. I hope that looks alright. There's not much room for error up there. If memory serves, rear camber is all that can be adjusted on these cars without after-market equipment. Do you remember by how much, by the way?

You would want 255/40 fronts to match your 275/40 rears. Yes you will need a roll in the rear with 275/40 invo's unless you go with some crazy camber. Like i said mine started to lightly rub at +25 , with the +15 your wheels will be you will need a full roll. (its well worth the look). The front on the other hand, i really don't know how that will work. I have camber arms on mine and have them adjusted where i want them. All Z's seem different as far as camber goes when lowered and even from the factory. What drop are you looking to do?

I'm already dropped on Hotchkis coils (.75"). But, as the springs / shocks age, I want to account for enough clearance over time. I'm not going to let the shocks go all the way out before replacing them, obviously, but I also don't want to have to roll on brand new suspension components all the time in order for my wheels not to rub...if you follow me.

I don't really want to go with a 255/40 in the front because I think that's too much tire. I'm going for somewhat of a raked look. In other words, I want the car to "look" rwd. All the Zs I have seen with the RPF1s with either 245/35 or 245/40 tires up front seem like they have room to spare, so I figured a 255/35 would work nicely. Initially, I wanted to do 265/35 up front, but that was on a wheel with a +24 offset. With the +15, I'm just guessing 255 will be more appropriate. I guess the shorter sidewall is just my effort to counteract the slight increase in wideness.

If you get a 255/35 front it will cause TCS/VDC/ABS to not like you if you run the 275/40 rear tire. Not many people run 245 or 255/35's unless they have 19's

You sure that's a 20mm drop? Looks pretty low to me. That's the look I'm going for though.

I don't think I'd be able to go with 255/40 Invo's if you are having rubbing problems with negative camber adjustment. I don't plan on buying a-arms just to put on wheels.

Take a look at this car. It has 245/40s on the RPF1s, and it looks like it has room to spare. Same (general) drop as me. That's why I thought I'd do 255s. On second thought, things look pretty tight up front for him. On hard corners, I bet it's close, but probably exactly what I should be looking for to prevent issues in the front (w/out front camber adjustment).

You think the 285/35 will make a difference? Did you end up getting your fenders rolled? Do you rub on the front with the 245/40? What's your SS #?

123-45-6789 but the fronts do not rub at all. I haven't switch yet. I might wait till I run these out first. I don't know if 285 will make a difference on handling or cornering.

Looks like it'd rub with under full compression and/or if it was lowered more. You didn't have to roll the rears? Do you ever chuck the car into a hard corner?

Says in one of his threads that he didn't have to roll after installing them. I don't know if he has done so since then, but I do find it hard to believe, as well. Not calling him a liar, just going by the pics like you are.

275/35 rear and 245/35 front....next time around im going 295/35 and 265/35...if you get them dont ***** out like I did lol...but hey I don't rub and i will slam the car more.
