Default Debate on wheels

Ok everyone, i have two options i am currently having trouble with. I really like that stretch and big wheel width look etc. Here comes the problem, the wheel i have are these specs: 19 inch 8.5 +25 front and 9.5 +22 rear as i mentioned before. It has a nice finish, so the only thing that is bad about them are the rears, they arent as wide as i liked them to be. I know i could run a smaller tires (right now running 275s) but i want more grip.

There are another set of wheels i am looking at, doesnt have such nice finish as the wheel i have now but the specs are pretty good. they are running a lot of stretch.

so im having trouble deciding which way to go:

nice finish/run little smaller tire or bit bigger setup?

the only thing wrong with them are... the widths, front and rear and... the offsets, front and rear.

and no one could have any idea what the comparative set up you are weighing against is.

good job posting details. (sarcasm)

I would suggest saving your money to buy wheels that have both the specs and the finish that you want.

Otherwise you'll end up getting other wheels down the line anyway.

Get better wheels that suit your desire. I would expand on that, but I won't waste my time.

sorry for not posting the other wheels. the fronts are the same so 8.5 with 22 offset and rear would be 10.5 or 11 with 22 offset

compared to my 9.5 +22 offset right now (rear)

You need a 9.5 or wider front wheel for the look you want. Looks for different wheels.

There are no quality turbo kits for 4000. A car will run without a turbo kit.

Quality wheels can cost 2500-3500 + tires. Quality wheels can make a difference how your car drives everyday.

I wouldn't go wider than 10.5... not that you even need to.

but without seeing these rims, I would recommend you get a nicer set instead of half assing this. it doesn't need to cost 4k for a set of rims. you could do it for 2k or so.

what the hell are you talking about quality wheels start at 2500 bucks PLUS tires.

you can get a very very nice set of rims for 1200-1500 bucks and spend 6-700 on tires and have an amazing set up. just have to wait for deals.

quality???get me a set of works or volk in 20s in my choice for that price..economy is bad but still the price is going to be the same for some really good quality works or volk wheels..I've read a thread on g35driver about price increase on volk wheels by forge in the marketplace starting march that's sunday..so please tell me where to get some really good quality wheels like volk or works for that price..but then again maybe your choice of rims are diffrent from mines..

only Volk or Work are quality. now I understand. (rolls eyes)

And so you want to pay $2500 for a set of Work Emotion CR Kais? let me know and I can hook you up at that great pricing. considering I can get a set for $1200 bucks new.

anyway, you can get a used set of the higher end volk/work with tires for 2200-2500 in great condition as well. so there. and in the past I have had offers from vendors for 2-2300 for a brand new set of volks on special/clearance. I doubt it's different for Work S1s.

Not only Volk and Work are quality, but also Enkei RPF1...
I got my CR KAI in 18 for 1400 shipped brand new. (I am in Canada)
So you really don't have to pay 4k for a set of good rims.
