I've got them in 245/40/18F and 275/40/18R and every time I attack a curve a little faster than the avg. traffic speed, I feel like I'm about to lose it man. I'm sure my GF210's and the stock 07 Tokico struts couldn't have made that big of a difference. This was coming from me going on the canyons with the stock rims and stock RE040 tires.
Nope, well just canyons. I run different tires ont he track. It could be your spring/shock combo. First your springs are to low, second you shocks arn't valved to handle the springs. Last you also upset the handling of your car by going up to a 30 mm stagger between front and rear tire.
My bet is mostly on the driver, ive seen many use 452's on the track with good results.
Get the Sumitomo HTRZ 3. They were rated better than the RE050A's for a max performance summer tire on Tirerack. I had them for 1 yr, 1 track day, 1 auto-x and they did very well for a street tire. Did awesome in rain too. Best thing about them is that they are cheap at $139 a piece in the 275/40/18 size.
Wow something's not right dude..check your alignment..
I'm at 21,000 with my RE050A's and they still have a couple thousand left..
then I'm slapping on my new RE-01R's that I got for $499 shipped..
Alignment should have been ***** on for a new car. I only went through the rears, and I thnk my driving style had a huge part in their very short life.
My brother just picked up a set of those RE-01R for his FC. Great price.
I've got em on my Z and like them for the performance/price ratio. My bro has them on his RX7 and my friend has em stretched on his Vette. They don't suck.

Re050a's are pretty alright, but for the price and treadwear...i would never buy them again. I currently have kdw2's and will never look back. They grip much better and feel much better when cornering hard.
