Look at Kumho Ecsta SPT or Fuzion Zri.

NOTE: Common with less expensive tires is tread life. Generally you are going to pay upfront or later.

I wouldnt reccommend the fuzions... I ran them on 18's on my eclipse 3-4 yrs back. The grip was very good but they wore pretty fast( they have no mileage warranty, most high performance tires dont anyway) and when halfway worn were horrible in the rain. I used to get them dirt cheap when i worked at firestone and still didnt buy a 2nd set.

for some reason not a fan of the INVO. Maybe I just think the tread pattern looks retarded and I like big tread blocks on tires. There has to be a nice balance of how your wheel and sidewall look together to get the full effect of wheels. This is just my opinion of course but I hate the way the BFG KDW's look on the stock srt-4 wheels but i think they look amazing in lets say a 275 or bigger on a Z

A couple tire options in 275/40/18 in addition to those mentioned already:

BFG g-Force Sport - Good all-around tire. Grips well and quiet.
Avon Tech M550 A/S - Never owned a set but have read plenty of good reviews
BFG g-Force KD - No comment, never owned a set.

Tires-easy.com

They have REALLY good prices on Falken FK452's, I mean they BLEW everyone else away in the 19" range... I know you are looking for 18's but I would look there.... I read a bunch of bad reviews, and pulled the trigger anyway. I odered on Wensday Night and got them Friday! Dot #'s were good too, tires were brand new...
