Default Tread wear question

i need to buy a new set of rear tires for my Z. I have been looking at a few different tires such as the Direzza Sport Z1, RE-01R, and the Rt-615. Almost all of the tires i find are rate at 200. How many miles can i expect to get from these? i know its hard to tell but i want i good estimate. I daily drive my car with aggressive street driving on the weekends, not really any track use.

For the RE-01 or Azenis, you can figure 8-20K miles, depending on front vs rear, how hard you drive, etc.

ok thanks, They are for the rear. I called my local tire shop and they discontinued the RE-01 and replaced them with the RE-11 so i might try those out

The RT-615's are pretty soft. I used mine for a little over a year, autocross only plus driving to and from events. Probably put 1,000 miles on them tops.

I've got some RE-01s for this year but have no idea how they're wearing yet. They certainly are grippy little bastards, especially in the rain (vs the 615s). Face it - soft grippy tires like these aren't going to get much mileage if you autocross or track them and minimal mileage if street-only.

Why don't you look into some Toyo's TR1 or Nitto Invo's. The Toyo has 280 treadwear and the Invo has 260. I went for the Invo's and can't say enough good things about them.
