ah. take public transportation... those are the 'benefits' of living the urban life... you shouldn't be driving so much. I never drive my car anymore.

I gave up driving to NY and took Boltbus mostly. was quicker and less aggravating (cheaper as well). I could also do work (free wifi) or watch TV.

get yourself some Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas you might have to go with a 295/35/18 i don't think they have it in a 275/40 www.performanceplustire.com

Vred really lacks in 18 inch sizes. much like Sumi lacks 19 inch fitments.

Well my plan is to trade in my Z and IS300 for one only vehicle an M5 hopefully.. I've always wanted one and due to the shitty economy prices are going even lower..
I need to have at least one vehicle available. Ive tried the LIRR a couple time going to LI, its convenient and relaxing most definalty.. I just never like the idea of depending on anyone to pick me up G/F or friends.. And off course when **** goes bad with the G/F its easy to just be out..

Sumitomo Tire is ranked 6th in the Tire Manufacturing World, higher than Yoko/Toyo/Kumho/Hankook...so im sure they know what theyre doing. And they own Falken Tires, which arent bad tires at all...esp the RT615.

Default Sumi's mounted

Wow, and all I wanted to know if anyone had experience with the HTR Z3....
anyway, there mounted, (255/40 and 275/40) and I like 'em ,. quiter than 050Stones that came on the car. Handling so far is equal to the 050's. Haven't taken it to the twisties yet, but will this weekend. I'll report back on how they behave .......

I had the HTR ZII on my car, and I wouldnt recommend them. I was thinking about going with the ZIII's but im trying to talk myself out of it and going back to KDWs.

My experience with the ZII was horrible wet traction, and dry traction was not as good as my KDWs that were less wide. I suppose you do get what you pay for, but I don't know how much better these new ones are since I havent used them. Tire rack did rate them well, which is good.

Good Luck, they are a great price!

I just bought them about a month ago and love them. Did a ton of research, looked at specs, and couldn't believe the price they wanted for such a highly rated tire. For those that don't like them or had bad experiences, it's like anything else. Not all brand names last or work well.

I would recommend these tires. They're quieter than my BFG's I had before.

Different class really. The General will last a bit longer and perform better in wet, but are noisier and won't handle dry nearly as well. Both are good just in different ways.

I have never heard the phrase 'general uhp will perform better in the wet' when referencing another tire.

lol
