Default 2003-2007 and 2008-2009 TPMS Sensors?

What is the difference between the 2 sensors? When all is said and done in nissan part# land, there are 2 diffrent sensors. 1 for vehicles produced from 2003 to 2007 and those for 2008 and the 2009 roadster. The tire sensors appear physically the same, except one is a slightly different shade of green then the other and the FCC ID is the same between them. The only other difference is that the early ones are half the price...

I just purchased a set of LMGT4's for my 08 Z and would like to run TPMS, but would prefer to be able to run the cheaper sensor....

Cheers,

Functionally, they are all the same. You can take sensors from a 2007 or 2008 and use them in a 2003 or 2004 car. Reports are that it works the other way too.

excellent! I can save $200 that way... Dealer quoted a $50 difference between sensors...

Thanks!

^^ You didn't mention 2005 and 2006 cars. Typo? ...Or are there three different setups? (I don't know the answer).

Spike - no, I was just making a point, the 2005/2006 are the same as the 2003/2004 sensors.

GTi_94 - buy set of used ones off somebody here. Don't buy new!!! The expected battery lifespan is 7 years so you probably want to avoid 2003/2004 sensors anyway unless they've been off the car for a long time.
