Default Scratch on my GT-7 wheel!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so I have scratch on the lip of my gt-7. It's too dark for pics so i'll put them up when I get a chance. It's not too bad ,but i can feel the groove of the scratch with my nail ... Is there any way I can fix this or make it less visible??? Im think Scratch X by Meguiars maybe??! Or some wax?? Anyone have any solutions???!!

what I have done in the past. Take sand paper and sand it down to the point that all the rough edges are smoothed over. Then use a medium grit to smooth that, then use a VERY VERY fine grit, then polishing compound, many times it is unnoticable.

I don't get sanding it down. Wouldn't that accumulate more scratches ,I get nervous appling sand paper on a polished lip..
