This is what I think you should do mate, please excuse the bad photoshop.

The coloured lip needs to be thinner, regardless of what colour it is......

Then the rest of the lip & the centre can be black.. that would look awesome!, could even use white instead of red.....

edit: maybe you can ask one of the experienced photoshop guys to do the below on your car pics....

 

With the bumper back on and the new grill it looks pretty good to me.
