Dukeendotcom curbed his rims and would be out and on stilts for a few weeks to god knows how long for them to be fixed. He opted for a newer look and wanted something to match the Calipers and his new White/Red theme so here is one of the ideas put in motion.


Don't mind the Bumper missing it's being painted due to chipping.

Credit for originality, but IMO they're so-so. Once the red wears a bit they're gonna start having a cheapy look. Make sure he keeps them waxed!

Love the wheels... the original wheels lol. The lip looks like the equivalent of a tranny putting on wayyyyyyyy too much lipstick...

driver's side wheels were curbed...didn't wanna send em away to get machined so tried something else.

I like em.

 

haha....looks kinda bright in the pictures, but in person looks pretty sick and Duke likes em, so that is good enough for me.

 

Oh man...those wheels are beautiful normally. The red ring just ruins it. Ughhh...

 

Eh, I was looking at new wheels when I curbed these and decided to try this out.

Once it stops raining and I get my bumper back on I could wash the car and really take in this new look. If I don't care for it, I didn't lose much trying this out and I'm back to looking at new wheels again. No biggie really.

Did I like them in their original state better than with the red lip? Yes. But I do like the red lip as well.

 

RICE

 

Get rid of the red immediately. It looks like you've superglued a toddler's innertube to your wheels.

Hey don't get me wrong. Once you get over the crazy look. It does start to look pretty sick.

Just threw on your Y Pipe to and drove it around the lot, i like it ha ha.

 

I think your perception of this site is a little off. Not everything that is different is rice. It's things that look rice that are rice. Not everyone here is going to nuthug someone because they did something different. It's cool if he like it and that is what matters in the end but take the CC with a grain of salt. It really is out there and does look like he took red latex and melted it on the lip. If it was a slightly darker red and it was more of a TA look than the whole outer lip done it would deff look sick. It's just too loud. Just my $.02. Again if he likes it cool. But he doesn't need to post up pics expecting everyone to lie through their teeth and give him props when they don't like it.

PS: It sounds like the OP liked it so that's cool.

 

A lot of people on here DO point out everything that's different as rice...not all.

And yeah, as far as the darker red - that thought also crossed my mind that it might have looked better a little darker.

Oh well, what's done is done.

 

homie you took a perfectly clean car with nice wheels and ruined it along with the wheels. I mean how old are you? Do you have any class? I can see someone 16-18 rockin this bc their friends think its cool but anything older Id be emberassed rollin around in that and im positive everyone who sees you rolling shakes their head. But as long as you like it props for that and being different I guess...although its not always the thing to do.

EDIT: is there any way you can get the lips back to being polished. If you can please do that and make ur ride sick again

 

The lips could not be polished because they were to damaged and would of had to of been sent out for weeks on end. He kinda had to do the whole lip due to the damage or else it would of looked crappy to begin with. And give it some time, he RARELY washes the Z so that bright new red shine will get dark in no time!

 

IMO theres just too much red. Just a small stripe would have been adequate. If not red...i would have done matte black or something.
