G35 19" Rays Wheels on a 350Z
Okay guys. I hate to resurrect a dead thread lol. But, I made the jump, bought a set of 19 inch rays g35 wheels. I've been pricing tires, and from what I've heard, I've decided on 245/35/19 front and 255/35/19 rear. I'll be getting coilovers soon after tires, so what do I need to watch out for? I also plan on adding 15mm spacers up front and 20 rear.. So say, with this given setup, dropped 1-2 inches.. Will I rub? I'm a noob when it comes to tires. Also, the lady who just quoted me 1350$ on Michelin pilot sports said I would lose comfort and performance. Is this true?

Im running 235/40 F and 255/40 R with 20/25 spacers. I rolled both my fenders but i never had an issue with my 245/40 's rubbing in the rear even with 1" drop springs.
I would suggest getting them properly rolled though because why not. PROPERLY..

I'm running 20mm front and 32mm rear. I see people running 25/30 but the fronts stick out more. So thats why I went with 20/32. I'm also running ARP extended studs on the rear so I pressed the studs out on the spacers. Sits perfect now. Time for a minor drop

But if you need help in figuring it out from a true PERFORMANCE perspective, here:
Advantage of the G35 wheel: Forged and strong versus the unknown torsional rigidity and impact resistance of the grav-cast ESR wheels. Very slight uptick in performance using a lower aspect tire for ever-so-slight increase in steering response.
Disadvantage(s) of the G35 wheel: it's not a particularly light wheel vis a vis other more suitably adaptable OEM performance wheel (read: Track V1) or aftermarket like an RPF1/RSR05 Enkei.
AND, biggest disadvantage is that the width (or lack thereof) limits the amount of tire you can put on it (presuming that you got decent sized ESRs, say at least 9.5+).
In the end, if it's just for aesthetics
