I had it in #3615:

Nothing special--
Vertini Drifts

20x9 w 245/35/20: 20mm off
20x10.5 w 295/30/20: 30mm off w 10mm spacer

Lowered a little more last night and got aligned today. Scrubbed the paint off my front fenders already. LoL. Ill have to go w/ some 225s or 235s and I want to put the 10mm's up front. Then maybe go w/ 15mm spacers on rears and maybe go 285s. We'll see how it goes and how much I tear up this weekend.

Everyone always assumes wide tires are for straight line acceleration and big horsepower. When it comes to lateral grip, you can't ever really have too much tire, whether you have 1000 or 100hp.

Or you could put the proper size front tire on. 245/30-20 on it , 225's are for civics.

Not intended for you. I was just addressing the "Why 335?" and "1000+ hp" comments that always seem to come up when discussing wide tires.

Okay, and my original post was stating most people that don't track their cars and are getting something like a 335 tire that's just a normal non performance tire are getting it for bragging purposes and show.

My car is a civic. Just a customized blue one. Jk. I have thought about doing that also.

I get your point about the super wide Invos. My only point was that it doesn't take FI or high HP to put a 305+ tire to use for handling purposes. I get that all the time when I go to have my autocross (or even street) tires mounted. "Why do you need a xxx tire? I don't see a turbo or anything."

You should ask them if its their car and their wheels and then say "ask me if I care?"

I hate when people ask stupid questions/think theyre a know it all when they dont even have a race-car.lol.

you can def have "too much" tire, a car that breaks traction predictably is better than an under powered grip monster

Very nice, but i would have gone with the NT03 in 10.5 +30 for those rear tires. They have a much better offset for wide tires, less risk of rubbing while launching the car.

Agree!

You gonna have to pull and flare like crazy to fit those at that offset! Keep up posted when/if you lower it!

My tires showed up!
