I'm not sure I understand the function of this wheel and tire set-up. Could you elaborate? I ask because you didn't need an 11" front wheel for a 265 tire, nor a 12.5" wheel for the 315 and it looks like you fubar'd you panels trying to make them fit. Going for the stretched / poke look while trying to keep a big foot print?
BTW, where is the torque wrench?

So when I see someone trying to push the limits more, I think he should be encouraged. This is how we learn what all the possibilities are. For example, your fitment is great. But think about it, not long ago 10-10.5 in the front was considered impossible. Yet you and others have shown it to be very possible. Many people will benefit from seeing your car. I say we should encourage progession and we all can learn from each other. Of course, there will be mistakes along the way, but thats apart of learning.

anyone running 10.5 up front?
im running 18x10s on all 4s without problems. However i may have found me some extra wheels. 18x10.5s on all 4s. Thinking maybe a 265/40 F and 295/35 R. Idk though. My coils are coming in soon i guess and im kinda scetched out about rubbing

It's the 18x10 set that has the 305s. The 18x10.5 (+15s) have the 285 or 295 R6s.

^My car isn't slammed by any means (maybe ~1.3" lower in the front), but I run a 285 on the front. Scott's car is probably about the same in terms of ride height (?), but with a 305. Unless you plan to go super, non functionally low a 275 should be fine, but stick with a 35 sidewall.

This statement kinda confuses me. My assumtion would be that the 11 and 12.5 widths were that aggressive wheel part of this thread? After all the thread is named, "Aggressive Wheel & Fat Tires thread". Now I'm not trying to offend anyone or come off as an a**. I apologize if this is the case. I've just been enjoying this thread for a while now, but unfortunately I think the aggressive wheel element has become secondary or even sometimes obsolete over the length of the thread. There are still a lot of great fitments in here, but there are so many non-aggressive fitment with just fat tires.

My question was meant more towards why one would use an R-compound tire and stretch it on overly-wide wheels. Meaning, I assumed that one would choose that tire to be used in some type of driving competition or HPDE, and having all that extra wheel width doesn't allow the user to run more rubber - he could use a 8.5 or 9" wheel with the 265 front tire and an 11 or 11.5 rear wheel with the 315. It's actually precisely the reason I am considering selling my 10.5" (+15) set, since can't fit anything larger than 295s, which will fit happily on a 10" wheel.
I sure will.
