I am still trying to figure out what kind of setup this thread is about. Fat tire to me can mean one of 2 things. Really wide tires, and or wide and tall. example.. I rather run a 285 35 than a 305 30.
I think you could go 305/30 on that set-up, but I'm not sure.
I couldnt get anything bigger in a competitive street tire. I decided a 140TW 285 was better then a 305 200TW
I plan to go to a 305/315 setup when I eventually go to R-comps. I wanted to stay on street tires for at least one more year. when the RS3's wear out I will decide what to move to maybe a R888 or maybe by then I will decide to go to a track dedicated setup of slicks or something
I am considering running a BFGoodrich KDW 275/35/19 in the front on a 9.5 +22 offset wheel. Anyone have experience going this big with kdw's on the front?
In my experience, brakes or suspension in the front, and just suspension in the rear.
THANKS
I will be sure to take plenty of pictures and report back with fittings, I have 15mm studded spacers currently on the car so i will do all test fitting with them on and off. then once test fitting is done we will install the extended lugs and buy slip on spacers accordingly.
glad to hear...did he massage the fenders a bit...either way that miata is what I'm about...
MOAR
Pulling the fenders is illegal in STR. You also can't remove the fender wells. He is having some rubbing issues, but it runs very stiff springs and firmly valved shocks. He plans to raise it about a 1/4", though from what he told me.

cool makes sense
BUT
seems the tires are rolling the fender it self...note the front fender...from experience with no roll or pull. Big tires will roll the fender in due time next to cutting themselves...
So I have a queston cause I don't know the red tape on the issue.
If one i.e. maita owner size up the tires. During the course of racing the tire rubs and forms the fender is that considered rolling or a mod?
