Not best to continue using it. I'd buy a new one.

If you get no where with the manufacturer, you can try and fix it. A lot of people here think that you can't safely repair a rim but I am pretty sure they're don;t know much about material and general manufacturing processes. You can fix a rim safely but I would do it at a reputable place that specializes in wheel repair. There's a really reputable place not too far from my house that does this type of work, Rim and Wheels Works in Waltham, MA:

http://rimandwheelworks.com/

Give them a call if you run out of options and see what they say. I considered at one time to have my wheels refinished and they were very helpful on the phone to assist me in making my decision. If anything, the website has lots of good info. You can ship them the rim and they'll have it back to you in a few days. The cost will most definitely be less than buying a new one.

Definitely try your manufacturer first. Cracked rims are a major hazard and as people already pointed out, they're not supposed to crack. Most people wouldn't even know they had a cracked rim until it was too late. Good luck.

I think the question on repair is if the wheel sustained damage (fixable) or was flawed to begin with (not worth fixing). If it is flawed/defective, other cracks are sure to appear.
