Patching a stock tire?
I know it is not recommended to patch the stock tires that come on the Z. However, I just moved into a neighborhood that is still under construction, meaning there are loose nails and the like all over the place. I believe I have already run over one as my back right tire runs out of air about two days after filling it up.
I'm a bit leary of dropping $400 on a new tire when I could just as easily hit another nail with it tomorrow while they're still doing construction. Is there any way I can just have it patched until the construction around here is done? They estimate being finished by the end of the year.
I have an '07 enthusiast Z.

The only downside to patching a high performance tire is that you lose the high speed rating. Other than that, if it can be patched/plugged, then somebody can and will do it. Just don't take it on the track, drive it to the limit, etc.
I ran over a nail about a month after getting a brand new set of tires. NTB plugged it with a rubber plug and they guaranteed it would never fail. I was kinda leary but had no choice do to a tire backorder. Just make sure it is away from the sidway like noted above.
