Default do Rays short version lug nuts fit extended studs?

Hey everyone. I posted this thread on g35driver forum but no one answers this question, and I need to know ASAP so I can make my decision. Im trying to swap my set of Muteki R48 lug nuts for a set of Rays (short version) close ended lug nuts. Let's make it short, do the short version, close ended lug nuts fit extended studs? or I need long version and open ended? Please let me know. Thanks.

think about what you posted, then you got your answer. you want to put short, closed end lugs on an extended stud. first off you will not be able to get your lugs tight to holdthe wheel on, andif you did you would probably end up cracking the lug in the first place.

..unless you decide to use slip on spacers to push the rim out more for the lug nut to tighten properly.

You can get open-ended lugs and they will work on either, but a closed-end lug nut will not work on an extended lug unless you are using spacers that would allow adequate thread engagement and seating.

The question is not short or long studs. The question is how much of the stud is visible? Easy to measure. 10mm? 15mm? 20 mm?

Thanks for the inputs. So short and close ended lug nuts will not fit extended studs. How about long and close ended Rays lug nuts? I dont like open ended lug nuts because every time I wash my car, soap and water will get in and cause rust.
