Default Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Tire Review article

Hey guys,

The PS2's offer fun times...for a little while. Can you guys offer your experiences with these tires? Was it worth the cost? Just how long did they last you? Is the performance worth the mark up from the UHP's? Especially when you consider the time they will last.

If you missed the quick review, you can find it here: https://my350z.com/nissan-350z/2003-...-and-value.php

Here's a quick link to some tire discussions you may have missed: https://my350z.com/forum/tags/tire.html

Thanks!

They have always tested top or very near that in our results. Excellent dry, rides well, oe on cars like Porsche and other exotics. A real home run tire overall, will pay for it though. Total different field vs. the UHP. Shorter life and not as good wet, but lots better dry traction and steering response.

I love these tires on my 35th Anniversary 350Z. Night and day difference compared to the terrible OE tires. Superior dry traction and pretty darn good wet traction. These tires significantly improved cornering, braking and acceleration. I got about 22,000 miles out of my last set of PS2 which was way better than the 14,000 miles I got out of the OE tires. I don’t track my car but I do drive it aggressively. I’ll be sticking with the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires until Michelin comes out with something even better… if that’s possible.

I’ve always purchased tires from Tire Rack and the Road Hazard Program is definitely worth the extra couple of dollars. I just had my damaged tire replaced today for free today.

Fantastic tires! Got them soon after I went FI, and what a difference over the Yokohama advan sport's I had before. The grip with the PS2's is incredible, I can accelerate much harder in lower gears since the tires handle the added a lot better then the Yoko's did. Cornering improvement with the Michelin's is great as well, I can corner a lot harder at higher speeds thanks to the noticeably higher grip limit, it feels fantastic even when you push it over the edge a little. Overall I couldn't be any happier. I would definitely buy these again. Expensive but worth it if you really enjoy driving your car.

I have some and compared to my Re050 Bridgestone they grip better and seem to hold up better. The bridgestones are alot softer so wear quicker then the PS2.

I love these tires sooooo much. I Drove my brothers Carrera S with bald ps2's and had to have them. They were so good even as slicks lol(in the dry). I noticed they have excellent wet traction as well. On dry they have perfect slip control, when wet I noticed the car hops with wheelspin. The long and short, buy em!!! Watch sizing 265's are more expensive than 275's(more common).
