Default 20" rims/tires with 1.25" drop...will it fit??

I just received my racing springs from Megan today. They lower the car 1.25" all around.

I also have the great opportunity to purchase a set of barely used rims and tires locally. They are 20" rims with 295/30/20 in the rear and 245/35/20 in the front.

They person I'm possibly going to buy them off of has them on his 350Z so I know they fit fine, but I wanted to drop my car with my newly found Megan Racing Springs.

Just wanted to know if my car would fit or not with both the rims/tires AND the lowering springs.

If not, then would anybody be interested in buying the springs off me??

Thanks for the help guys!!

im not 100% but im think that with 295s in the rear it will rub, probably have to roll your fenders at least.

You will have to adjust the rear for several degrees of negative camber.

Depends on the offset of the wheels.

Your car will not handle well with that tire setup , from the factory we have a 20mm difference from front to back and the car plows badly in the corners. You want to bump that up to a 50mm difference , have fun.

the guy i might buy it from HAS IT ON HIS 2006 350Z already. i just saw them...looked good.

but you're saying it won't handle well??? it's a 35mm offset in rear...and 22mm in the front. i don't know anything about offsets and handling differentials. so is this good or bad?

how wide are the wheels? upgrade the front to 265/30/20. It's most likely gonna feel heavier with 20's. What kind of wheels are they?

for clearance purposes you need to know the following.

Wheel width, size, and offset
tire size

You're missing offset and width. Brakes and suspension also play a role.

idk the offset, but shouldn't we know the width of the wheel from the width of the tires?? (235). And the offset is very minimal (if any) because it's smaller than the stock rim/tire size in the rear (245).

and the brakes and suspension are stock. i just got this car about 10 days ago.

I have 19's with 245/35/19 9.5 in the front and 275/35/19 10.5 in back. Put on a 1.5 drop on Tanabe NF's, but had to install the SPC full camber kit and roll the fenders.

Do some RESEARCH. Check out the wheels and tires section on this site... You'll learn more and would be able to form your own opinion. Or, take advise from some yahoo that says "hey brah! cut the axels and put 410's on"... that'll work!

225 is the stock width of the front tire , 245 is the stock width of the rear tire. 245-225=20 That is the stock stagger in width, if you take away 245-245=0 you car will oversteer more (actually neutral cause the Z understeers badly from the factory) and if you increase 295-245=40 it will push the front end more.

Width of wheel, well a 245mm wide tire ie 245/35-19 will work on an 8 to 9.5 inch wide wheel. Some people will also go out of spec and mount them on wider or narrower wheels. Hope that explains whay width makes a difference.

Wheel offset has do do with how far the wheel will stick out. Stock offset is 30mm. Just google wheel offset and read a little.

I have Megan springs which is a 1.5/2" drop. I run Axis VIPs (discontinued) in 20x8.5 fr and 20x9.5 rr ( man I wish that was a larger number..oh well).

I run 245/30/20 and 275/30/20 respectively. Not sure the offsets, you can google that.. i run ( i know i know) an 8mm spacer in the rear and for some ungodly reason, they do NOT rub. My wheel literally sticks out from the car almost.. but somehow it hits NOTHING when comporessed. Add to that an extremely low body kit, and its still driveable daily. Stick w 30 series tho... looks waaaay better than the 35 series. You wouldnt think, but it made a real difference. Offset is the key here tho.. just lettin u know that my set up has had absolutley zero issues.
