Default Are your 06-09 tires Cupping?

As the title states, have any '06-'09 owners encountered this problem? In my case I'm almost positive it's due to a need of alignment since the cupping has only taken place on the front-passenger tire. I'm just intrigued to know if any 06-09 owners have had this as a reoccurring problem.

If there is a thread dedicated to 06-09 and cupping please excuse me and direct me, thank you.

I noticed when I changed my brake pads. But does your car pull to the right ever so slightly?

You could have included this in the mother of all feathering threads. Photos always helpful.

You're right I could've but I really didn't want to bring back to life a thread that was started in '03...anyways there aren't any threads that really mention "feathering" on 06-09 so really I was hoping this thread would more or less shine light on a problem that Nissan states was corrected thru the production years. Again I don’t believe in my case that cupping is due to toe angel settings which came faulty from factory but rather an alignment issue that was never addressed.

In other words if your car never had a problem simply reply "no problem" if you have then reply "blah blah blah this suck"

i was once told that 350z's are always going to wear down the insides of their tires faster because they come with negative camber from the factory. How many miles on your tires? car?

Interesting! Anyways my '06 has 41k and the Nitto Extreme's have 15k all around with I would say 50% left on the front and 30% on the back

That suggests it's a balance or suspension problem on that wheel only. If the inner edge of both front tires was feathered (saw tooth wear) then I'd tend to agree with you have an alignment problem.

As a warning and suggestion to ALL Z owners - the Z doesn't hold an alignment at all, especially toe settings. I get mine checked annually and every year it is toed-out, exactly the wrong setting that you want to have.

You're absolutely right if it were an alignment issue both tires would show more or less the same wear. Now that you have eliminated that theory I’m going to research a little more on the suspension side and hopefully I’m able to eliminate that as well and cross my fingers that I just have to balance my wheels
