Hey, you're right! I missed that one. He's only driven it twice, yet he's commuted to work 8 times. Something doesn't quite add up.

No he said he was on the freeway eight times (I drive on two separate freeways to work in the morning a day), that's 4 freeways a day. Maybe that's what he means.

Default Let look at the damage

I decided to look at the tires, picture blownup and added brightness.
Look at the radial tears. What does that mean to the tire experts?

I live really close to my work. I drive to work, home for lunch, back to work and back home at the end of the day. Hopefully that clears any suspicion. As for why I chose these tires, after reading all the good things about the Falken 451's on the posts, who wouldn't get them. Great tires at a great price. Too good to pass up.

My rim is doing well, I brought them in and cleaned them just to look for damages. Everything checks...OK.

Keep the comments coming, good or bad, it's a learning experience for all.

I'm in Orlando, Fl for a convention all week so i'll check this forum from time to time. This is why I wanted to get this resolved quickly, now I have to wait a week

By the way, I watched them put my rims on as well and boy did they have a hard time. I made sure they didn't scratch it up.

Please let me apologize in the delay of customer care calling you back. I made the mistake of transferring your voicemail to a representative that was out on Saturday. He just got the message, reviewed the thread and pics and is calling you now. Andrew will take good care of you. I am very interested in seeing this tire in person.

Thank you for being patient.

Thank the rest of you for your input.

Thanks Todd.

I'm not pointing any fingers at anybody. I'd just like to get the issue resolved because I miss driving my car(Even though I won't get to see it until the end of this week). So far, I'm happy with your prompt attention in this matter. Check your PM. I sent you my cel number.

When you get the new tires mounted, I would suggest having the mounted & 'aired-up' tire/wheel assembly dunked in a water tank to ensure there are no leaks. Most tire shops have these dunk tanks to inspect tires for leaks & punctures.

Those are three-piece wheels you have? It's possible that the silicone seal is defective or was damaged during the tire mounting procedure. Usually, the seal won't leak air that quickly, but who knows?

Are we talking about the 245/35-19? If so, the 245/35-19 is right at the outside of its' design parameters on a 19x9.5. I would suggest using the 275/30-19 on the front- it's a better fit for the 19x9.5, and you won't have any clearance issues.

I've had good experiences with the Falken tires- I think there is more than just a tire issue here...

Jackwhale - Sensors did not indicate anything. the "PSI" warning never appeared on the guage.

HREWheelMaker - There 285/35 rears are the ones that blew out. The 245's fit great.

I have no doubt that Falken's 451's = great tire + great price.

I can't praise Discount Tires enough on how excellent their service is. They came through. I highly recommend these guys to all you 350z owners out there!

I'm glad everyone seems to be happy. And that "customer service" is still alive and well. There are thousands of horror stories out there and the net is the fastest way to get bad news out.

Todd- My hats off to the staff at Discount Tire! Hope to do business with you guys when I get back from the desert.

tree-50Z- I hope you have better luck next time around.

Spoon
