read this if you are in the wheel market
I posted this in another place but I should have posted it here...this is an interesting article going over the issues related to selecting a proper wheel for your car. Good reading (it was for me!)

My Butt Ugly Wheels - Revisited
By critical disclaim and for the Custom Wheel Fashion Police whom I so severely offended, I present, *apparently*
The single most, butt ugly custom wheels yet to grace the new Z. No one else, no how, in their right mind would ever dain to place these repulsive ricers on an otherwise perfect clone.
Hmmm. Guess that would make my ride unique in the country.
Darn... and I was so trying to be inobtrusive and transparent.
What a rogue and peasant slave am I.
For the court record and the badge heavy Fashion Police, I submit two evidentiary pictures. Weep not! For thou hath chosen more wisely. Now, go forth and multiply...

I know what car would look good with those wheels
Put those on a caddy or buick La Sabre. I am sure the guys on their webpage would like the upgrade. Add a vinyl roof onto a pink paint job, white leather interior and you got it!

Hey Jeff,
Is that your button I pushed?
Must be a bit sensitive about not owning your own 350Z. Or is it a camera you can't afford?
Go ahead. Upload YOUR Z-pic with YOUR fashion statement. We'll wait for you. Jeff? Are you there?

Fair enough, ^Tyr. We all look forward to YOUR day in February, when you can enlighten us all with the brilliance of your custom wheel selection. Please post promptly for community review.
And, ^Tyr, if you wish to be light in the loafers, them by all means have a go at it? Even with 35lbs behemoths like mine, my Z is currently faster than yours... cept, perhaps in your dreams.
Seriously friend, I do wish you all the best with this great new car and I know you are making all the choices which will make you exceedingly proud and happy. That's what it's all about. Personal choice. I hope the days between now and delivery are compressed to the max so that you too can experience the rush of driving this ride!
In America, there's even room for idiots like me. Or do we have a REAL substantive issue to argue here?

I should appologize. My comments were unneeded and unneccessary. i retract my comments and would delete them if possible but im past my damn 90 min. i guess i should leave them there as a mar on my name however because in other threads i've gone agaisnt those who flame and write wastes of space based upon opionion.
I'm a performance junkie your not. i guess i should learn that i cant epxect ppl to have the same taste and dont know why i haddent figured that out after the recent mass amounts of flamage on this forum
for this i appologize
i have a question though.. auto or 6spd?
and no this isnt ment as a slander of any sort. but do you mind if i ask (and this goes to everyone) why you would spend money on a product that will knowingly reduce performance after spending such amounts to purchase a performance car in the first place? or did you purchase the car because you like the styling and are wanting to increase the looks (hey man its your car no knock at all i'm just wondering)
sorry for my immaturity and closemindedness.

lighten up you were joking around and so was I
Bjmnzzzz:
I was joking wioth you. You were joking around when you posted on this thread, then it appears you got upset with me as I joked with you. Don't get upset, most people buy wheels for appearance and that is relative to your personal taste. That is why they make all type of wheels, to suit everyone taste. If performance was the only issue, everyone would pick te-37's or something like that. Besides, I do not want everyone wheels to look like mine.
