The Above wheels are made by 5Zigen. Those are made in 17-18" http://www.5zigenusa.com.

As are these below...19-20" multi piece

Both are available in HyperBlack & Silver here at DTD

ppw350z, I guess you didn't notice on the pictures that you wanted the info on. The wheel that the car has have LARGE 5zigen sponsor stickers on it so I would think that they really are 5Zigens since they look like the multi piece versions from their website. The HYPER 5ZR is the wheel your looking for.

I have posted pictures of both the 5Zigen 5ZR & 5ZR copse. They are similar, and both come with the choice of being a multi piece wheel. The Copse is a 17-18 and the 5Zr is a 19-20. As you can tell....they look hot on the Z.

Iforged:

I like the looks...and I'm not even a multispoke kind of guy. Question for you: what kind of offsets did you run? One of the reasons I ask is because the rear tire looks like it is sitting nicely in the well...but only a 3" lip seems small with a 10" wheel? I'm assuming that car is set up with a 275 tire? Do the various wheel designs/models carry different lip depths with the same offsets? I'm thinking if a 25mm+ offset on a 10.5" Iforged wheel would work on back...that would provide a little more lip??

Feedback? Have any pictures of a brushed aluminum Aero on a Z yet?

Thanks

Currently 3" lip in the biggest you can go right now on the 350z in the rear unless it is a widebody. Even if you went with a 10.5 that would not make the lip bigger, it would just make the inner section 7.5 instead of a 7. The next size up in lips is 4" in the 19" and for sure that wont fit the 350z, without sticking out of the fender.

Iforged...now after you last post I need clarification on wheel construction. If you have the same offset on a wheel that is 10" as you do on the same style wheel that is a 10.5" how does this not affect lip depth? Offset is the distance to the center of the wheel...right? So if you start with a wheel that has 7" behind center and 3" in front...and then go to a 10.5" wheel this should effectively move only .25" behind center and place the remaining .25" in front. This is my understanding on all other wheels...so how does this differ on yours? I need clarification.

Thanks

Since our wheels are modular 3 piece, it means that two different sizes make the outer, and then the center piece. What you don't understand is the backside setting, which usually can only be altered with custom forged wheels. So to do a 10.5 all you are doing in essence is adding a 7.5 outer to a 3" lip instead of a 3" lip and a 7.0 outer

3+7=10
3+7.5=10.5

the reason i am sticking with the 3" lip is because I have not tried the 3.5 yet on the Z, and will need someone to bring one by so I can measure it. Right now it looks like it wont be possible, because of the rear caliper clearance and not wanting the wheel to stick out the fender, but I will not be certain until we have one prototype at our factory.

Yeah...you're right...I don't completely get it. I was always one of those show and tell kind of kids....not read and understand kind! I'll just take the essance of what you are saying for granted. Let me know about where you are in relation to Oceanside...as I mentioned, I believe I have a friend that may be willing to offer up his Z for this test fitting.

Our factory is about 45 minutes from Oceanside. Please have your friend contact me by email at info@iforged.com, and maybe we can setup a visit. I have not seen a 3.5" lip on the rear of the 350z, but that does not mean its impossible. With some careful calculation it might be able to be done.

It can be done...there are other custom manufacturers doing it...but I'm sure spoke contour and offsets all come into play. I believe Blitz has a 4" lip that works on the Z and I know the HRE wheel in a 10.5 is about a 3.5" lip. The RAYS Gram Light Pro57 has over a 4" on only a 10"....so the answer is in all that somewhere. I will have my buddy contact you as soon as he arrives home from vacation...I believe that will be Jan 6th or so.

PM me in the meanwhile if any of the information I've been collecting on various wheels, offsets, and lip depths would be of any assistance for comparison purposes. Since you custom machine these wheels...ask me of an idea for a shape wheel that I think could be made as an alteration to one of your current models that would have great general appeal....and by nature provide a much greater lip with all other constants remaining the same.

I don't plan to die unhappy...don't think many people do. But since I'm sure we are all on the edge of our seats...please do inform us of what we should be taking notes on.

iFORGED announces 4" lips for the rear of 350Z
After doing some more calculations and research, iForged is able to present all of the 2 Piece RS series of its wheel line with a rear lip size of 4" and the front lip size of 2.5".

On the 3 Piece FS Series we can fit 4.0" lips on the 20". Currently there is not a 4" lip in 19" 3 piece but it will be available in mid Feb. In the 18" we will offer the 3.5" lip in the rear.

All of the iForged wheels can be ordered with custom offsets and widths. In the RS Series we use

Front
18*8
18*9
19*8

Rear
18*10
19*10

In the FS series we can do

Front
18*8
18*8.5
18*9
19*8
19*8.5
19*9
20*8.5
20*9

Rear
18*9.5
18*10
18*10.5
19*9.5
19*10
19*10.5
20*9.5
20*10

Please check out our website for more details and pictures
