LOL! Years of research and knowing where to look, and alot of passion for cars & stuff! I will have an exact weight before I mount them up but expect @ 25-30 lbs. each.

Cost for wheels & tires...................?

Txstyle,

REALLY like the rim choice...but aren't you at all afraid of brake dust collecting in the allyn (sp?) heads making them look....well...bad shortly after cleaning?

Default remember those wheels...

awhile back when i was searching like crazy for wheels...i like and they look good...but how heavy are they...i would still go for more performance oriented wheels ala volk te-37 (onemansopinion)...but definitely post picks, would love to see those on the Z...

Actually they are higher than the Kahn's . BUT, thanks to a substantial hook-up (I'll be doing a little advertiseing for this new shop. Nothing like stickers or anything on my car, just showing up at quarterly Car Shows sponsered by the shop and spreading the word ) Not trying to be secretive or anything, just smart. I can tell you that for these particular wheels having to be made to spec for my car would have listed for over $3,000! Just for wheels! I also (thru a long time hook-up, after all I've bought several sets of 18' & 19' tires over the years, roughly 10 in the past 4 years for different cars) receive my tires discounted. The particular setup of TOYO'S I'm going with would be @ $1,200 for tires! So as you can see my setup would retail over $4,000. Let's just say I'm spending over $3k.

Trust me, I am VERY concerned about this as well! I am "furiously" searching for aftermarket pads, but no one has any to fit the stock calipers! Believe me, I cringe to even think about what these factory pads will do to me expensive metal. And to be honest I may just hold off on mounting them until I can find better pads.........
I'll keep everyone posted.

TXSTYLE.. you'll have to tell us how the ride goes with those 19's. I'm so afraid that my ride will go to hell if I go to 19's so right now i'm holding off...

Don't really care for the rim, but I'll wait to see them on the car before I make a final judgement.

I would have gone with the Advan 5's....those wheels are HOT!

TXStyle...I haven't said anything for a while but I've finally found something I like....Has anyone ever heard of the Blitz Techno Z-2. That my wheel of choice. They're kinda pricey and the biggest size is an 18. Oh well....I'll be sacrificing my 19's for 18's but I think it's worth it. These wheel are tight. Zay you're gonna love them. I tried to paste them but I can't get it to work. They're priced $2564 for a set of wheels only. 8 inch front and 9 for the rear. They also have some other nice wheels, but none compare to the Z-2.

Could someone go to www.I-M-racing.com and go to wheels cut and paste for me.

Ask and you shall receive........

That is a nice looking wheel, ALTHOUGH........Blitz Technospeed Z-1 is an even better looking (IMO) and light-weight wheel I was also considering! Notice the similarity to my Anteras?

Oh. By the way guys, my wheels did INDEED come in today! I went up to the shop and saw them but due to the EXTREMELY poor weather here in Dallas today (rainy!) and possibly the rest of the week, I will not drive the Z. But people let me tell you............. THEY ARE INCREDIBLE!!! The 'lips' are astonishing, and I swear the silver finish of the face/spokes is damn near identicle to the Chrome Silver Paint! When I mount these ****'s up, the response will be the same.....

Default Nice Fat Lips

Since TX passed on the Limmy wheels, and we won't see photos for a while, I thought(?) I'd share a find of mine. NOT A PHOTO SHOP.

Enthuz,

What kind of car is that? I HAVE to know. Additionally, the rims on it are sweeeeet. Any insight on them?

Please tell me this is from some car "launch" and the car is going to be 100K or more....I don't want to second guess my Z!

Well the wheels were my original choice for the Z, "KAHN" and the car is definitely a hybrid of some sort. I see a little Aston Martin in there.
