I like the first ones as well. Both are in sizes available for the Z. I am not a goddy person, so I think the first one maybe too much. I am not sure if I like chrome or not. I am fond of gunmetal. Thanks for your input and I'll be sure to not put on the second ones! HA! Unless I start hauling around 50 cent.

Good choice

Can you find any info on that company on the web? You may do a general search and see if anybody has used them. (google, msn, etc.) Good luck.

Chip Foose is one of the greatest car men ever. His designs are amazing. If his wheels are designed like his cars, you can't buy anything better. I just don't know how they will hold up. Plus if I switch brakes I might have to change wheels again. Not my top priority, nor my wife's. Who I stay in trouble with, about this car.

I've heard of the man, I've never heard of the wheels.

Wives just don't get it...the trick is to wear them out until they don't care anymore

Quadry, can you list the site where you found those first Foose wheels?
Thanks, TX

I went to Foose directly at www.foosedesignwheels.com

There is a sweet CLK at the front page. I have found these for $465 on a website.

At Foose's website, you pick your car and it shows you the wheels available. I wish that we could get these photoshopped onto some 350's. Preferebly a black one.

That's a new SL not a CLK.
Thanks!

hey TX:

Remember I asked you about big brake kits and fr +35mm offsets? I didn't realize that the wheels had high disks so it'll clear fine. I got them installed last Sat; Work Meister S1 competition forged 3-pc wheels, silver center w/ polished lip, 18X8.5 Fr 18X9.5 Rr w/ S03 Pole Pos tires. I'll be installing my Teins hopefully this weekend. Thanks for your inputs.

TXSTYLE,

Dude, you've been running this thread as long as I can remember. I don't mean to flame, but it seems for as long as you've been looking at wheels and tires, you kinda blew it with your final choice for wheels. They're not terrible, but they're not beautiful. I think they're definitely a step down from the stock wheels.

Again, not to flame, and if it was anybody else I would just dismiss it, but I know the rigor you put around the wheel selection process. What made you go with those?

Well my friend, not to flame you either. BUT.............That is your unfortunate opinion. Trust me, there are tons of peeps that don't know or can't appreciate "High Dollar and Unique" wheels. I get sooooo many props and oooh's & ahhh's on my wheels from enthusiasts and normal folks alike that I have never second guessed my decision. But first and foremost, I picked em'. And with my track record of "Style & Substance"...... Let's just say, I'ts all good.

I can definitely appreciate the quality of the wheels themselves, but IMO they don't look right on the Z, whatsoever. I'm sure you've had tons of compliments, probably more so than those opposed, but you have to expect that there's gonna be folks that don't share the same taste as you, and don't care for your wheels. But, that's the cool thing.....if everyone liked the same thing, there'd be no originality. It takes ***** to put something different out there for everyone to judge.

TXstyle,
Don't flame for my ignorance....I see the list under your car for all your upgrades...but don't know what some of it is!!!! Do you have a drop on your ride? It looks lowered and I am curious if so, how much and what kit along with what your opinion is of it's now altered handling of bumps etc. I hate my stock ride and want first hand feedback on alternatives. Thanks

Like I said, I don't want to flame cause I know you're a good guy and you've done a lot for the site. I definitely wasn't judging wheel quality or anything. I know they're high quality and a custom job if I remember correctly. I was speaking more to the visuals. To each his own and all that. Nothin but 'spect for ya.

Driven: To me ANY question is a GOOD question. I have gotten where I am today in terms of health, business, leisure, etc, because I've always asked even the most simplist of questions. Actually my car is not lowered............YET! But in my 'sig-pic' it is, alla "photoshop". This is IMO how the Z should sit, and for me, will sit probably by June or so. I can however tell you that my neighbor SkiDazzles Z has adjustible coilovers which can make it sit like this. I've driven his car, and there is NO probs whatsoever. Just looks sweeeeeeeet!
Look to Tein or JIC for lowering suspensions.
