Cause of abnormal wear?
Took my wheels off today and notice 1 of my tire (rear driver side) has a odd abnormal wear in the middle/towards left a little more and I have no idea why.
I'm lowered, I have rear camber kit on the rear with toe bolts. Alignment is perfectly within spec and my tire pressure is normally around 33-35.

ah really i had no idea that feathering was an alignment problem...wow thank u so much for clearing up the obvious..did i say only the 03's had that problem NO!!! , i was just curious as mine is a 03 and i had the exact same thing happening.. both my rear tires wear slightly faster on the insides of the tires which im assuming is happening here..i wouldnt worry about it because if its changed in the alignment it will take away from the handling in the car.. i had a vette come in the shop the other day that was also experiencing it, it is common on some bmw's too i have seen

i think that rubbing would be noticed while driving and would tear up the tire more but could be happening.. what is ur tire psi on that tire vs. the other side? are both doing it at all or just the one?
I am having minor rubbing actually but its not in that area when I looked. I'm rubbing where I rolled my rear fenders it shouldn't hit the middle area of the tire?
It's only 1 tire that I notice looks different.
Maybe the fender wells buit up in dirt and is hitting against my tire. I'll look some more.

Why is there so much talk about feathering? there is no feathering on that tire. It looks like something inside the fender well is rubbing against the tire.
This is feathering:
And the tire looks to be wearing very well for a rear tire on a Z that's lowered.

You just have something rubbing against the tire while you're driving.

there is not so much talk of tire feathering..i guess i worded it wrong in the beginning
could be i guess..just to me i would notice something rubbing instantly
idk i mean signs point to rubbing, but what the hell would it be rubbing down the middle like that...really seems if it was gonna rub it would rub the outside of the tire..op update asap
I came to conclusion that it's because of how low I am and if I hit huge dips it'll rub down the middle. And the hwy here I go on has a huge dip I go through everyday. Rubbing on the side as well but that's not even noticeable on the sidewall at all. I need to upgrade my shocks.
I thought it was rubbing on the sidewall only at first until I took the tire off and wondered why it look so weird.
Can't really tell from the rear fender plastic because of how dirty it is and I cannot clean it because of clearance (can't jack up the car in my driveway either cause its slanted.
