Question quick noob question about mounting new wheels

i recently just got the 370z sport rims with the stock bridgestone re050 tires. i want to mount them on asap but im a noob when it comes to most stuff. when replacing all 4 wheels do i need to do anything extra like balancing, aligning, etc? or can i just jack the car up, unbolt the old wheels, and put these on? thanks

i take it your putting the 370 wheels on your 350, well first you need to buy new front tires, you will probably also want some spacers.

why do i need front tires? i read numerous threads about people putting these wheels on their 350z and nobody mentioned anything about putting new front tires. im also aware about the spacer issue, but for right now im just wondering about how i go about putting them on.

I assume that the tires are on the wheels and balanced. Bolt them on. If they are NOT balanced you will figure it out fast.

37OZ wheels may have an unusual offset. Careful when installing. The wheel may not clear the brake caliper.

I think it's appropriate to make sure they're balanced and you're aligned
properly. Otherwise a few thousand miles down the road your inner tread
could be destroyed. post photos.

Step 1: Take old wheels off
Step 2: Put new wheels on

If you can't safely jack a car up, remove lug nuts, swap wheels, and torque the lugs back down you should probably just take them to a tire shop. I have no faith that you wouldn't kill yourself. On second thought...J/K

But seriously, whats the hold up? Have you never done this?

The one thing I haven't seen mentioned here is Tire Pressure Sensors. What's your plans there? New wheels have sensors in them? Plan on moving them from old wheels to new wheels or getting system reprogrammed for new sensors?

today i got the wheels on but the fronts rub against the control arm at all times. will a spacer fix this? if so, id like to not have to replace my lugs so what size should i get so that the wheels wont rub against the control arm but i can keep my stock lugs?

If you'll look in the threads I referenced before, two points to note are:

1) spacers up front are required.

2) you have to use the 370 lug nut with the 370 wheels, apparently, they are different than the 350z lug nuts and don't torque down properly.

If you can do 1 or 2 wheels you can do all 4. For simplicity jack one side up at a time and put them on. It's no different that putting on 1 or 2, if the tires were already balanced you should be good, but if the overall height of your setup is much different than stock you may need an alignment.

As Dave pointed out, if you have a TPMS on your Z you will also need to have the sensors installed in the new wheels. You'd want a wheel and tire shop to perform this.

I can't speak to the lug nuts, but a 20mm spacer should resolve your control arm rubbing issue.
