Anyone know about +12 vs +22 for CEs? I've done my research but I can't tell if there is any real difference in lip or concavity really...they look almost identical in pictures.

I am debating between the usual +22 F/R in bronze but of note is the front +22 CE has more lip than a +22 TE so I'm good there. But I could go +12 all around and really push them out. But I will eventually be running a BBK so it makes me wonder.

Or finally +22 front and +12 rear to ensure brake clearance and max concavity/lip in the back on a CE...if I really wanted lip, obviously better wheels for that purpose.

Any remarks from those with experience?

For comparo, not the best angles for comparison but you get the idea: credit to Mankind and flipm3 for pics...can take down if you wish.

That's just it, from pictures I can't see a real difference between the +12 and +22 for CE28s for each respective size.

On the 9.5" +22 TE37 to a 9.5" +12, there seems to be a huge difference in lip...I guess I'm wondering if people have seen both offsets on CE28s in person side by side if there is any difference at all...otherwise why not have an easier setup to deal with if they look almost identical.

Thanks.

They call most of their calipers "alumite." I honestly don't know how these can be repaired if it needed to be done, but i will ask the guys over at Endless USA and report back.

CE28N 9.5 +12 has more concave vs +22.

TE37 is totally different.

also TE37 19x9.5 +22 has a bigger caliper clearance vs +12.

I personally would do 19x9.5 +12 with a 3mm spacer if you have bbk and 19x10.5 +12

Perfect advice A 3mm spacer is exactly what I needed to clear my front calipers.

I probably need to take pictures with a ruler to better show the differences, but the wheel on the top is more concave and looks to have a bigger lip. Both of those wheels are +12, the top being a 9.5 and the bottom being a 10.5. I had taken them for you to get an idea of how a 19x10.5 +12 looks. Thereby you can compare them to the wheels that are presently on your car and see if the difference is enough for you to want to change.

Here is one more photo. The wheel on the left is a 19x10.5 +12 and the wheel on the right is a 19x9.5 +12.

the width affects the concavity more than the offset on these rims I believe.

Gotcha...thanks bro! I'm looking at my wheels right now (10.5+22) and it looks pretty much the same. Too bad Volk doesn't have a way for us to see how the concave or lip size is any different.

Thanks Kwame and Brian. I suppose it'd be smarter in the rolling fenders/bbk sense to stick with +22 to make it less of a hassle. I'm going more for function than crazy offset...

Hey Alvin, I had a feeling you would get on this when I saw your post on my thread. I had the same delimma as I wanted the most concave look possible but wasent sure if it was worth the money.

In those pictures you saw in my thread Im running:
Flat Black TE-37's 9.5 +22 f. and 10.5 +22 r.
10mm project kics spacers in the rear
5mm shims in the front

That creates the perfect stance in my opinion. Im slammed on Stance coilovers and Im running 245/35 and 275/35 T1R's. Ive been thinking of running wider tires and I still think I have enough room to do so. My fenders are also cut and pulled though. Ill probably go with 255/35 and 285/30 or even 295/30 if I can. Even though I like I mild stretch, I love to have that wide stance from the rear and 275 just look to skinny to me now.

I realllly wish they made 19x11 or 19x11.5 in TE's so that we could run a 295/30 or even 305/30 without having that bulge or bulky sidewall look. Now that would be dope !!

Hopefully these pics help -... +12 mounted vs. +22's... Slightly more concave in front. The rear is almost identical if not identical minus the offset. The rear lip is the same size as well...BTW.. the +22's are BNIB for sale. ( sorry for the shameless plug ).
